Moths

Selbrigg pond is home to a large population of diverse moth species. Despite the 31 species already recorded sampling with a light box (the best way to attract the most moths) has not been conducted, so there could be many more around the pond which have not been listed here.

If you have spotted a moth not listed here, have a photo we are missing for the site, or want to get involved please get in contact using the link at the bottom of the page.
